Structure

At the 2007 INQUA meeting in Cairns, Australia, TERPRO and other Commissions adopted a structure that consists of Focus Areas. TERPRO has identified six Focus Areas that will be active during the 2007-2011 Intercongress period. Details of these Focus Areas, their Focus Groups, and activities can be found on other pages of the TERPRO web site. As the name implies, we hope this will encourage collaborative efforts with special themes or goals.

The TERPRO Commission has an Advisory Council (see below) that is composed of elected members and leaders of the Focus Groups (see other pages).

Although the Focus Areas were designed to provide a framework and focus for INQUA-supported activities during the 2007-2011 Intercongress period, additional Focus Areas may be proposed at any time to the TERPRO Advisory Council. In particular, in the year prior to the next INQUA Congress meeting in Bern (2011), TERPRO members are encouraged to work together to design and propose new Focus Areas, with new Focus Group members, for 2011-2015. As well, within existing Focus Areas, new themes and projects should be contemplated by INQUA members and discussed with the leaders of those Group.
